• THU 10/14 •  starts at 5pm – Radio Gatsby with Ronda Sauce vocalist. The Ramp, SF for a night of swing dancing and great music! 20s dance band Radio Gatsby, featuring vocalist Rhonda Sauce will keep you entertained and warmed up with lots of dance music. • FRI 10/15 • starts at 5pm  – Awesome HotcakesRiverfront Cafe, Petaluma. Spike Sikes wields a giant saxophone! Great sound, energy, and swing danceable tunes. 224 B St, Petaluma, CA 94952. Outdoors.

• FRI 10/15 • 6-8pm – GG Amos ~ Town Hall Plaza San Anselmo. GG and her band will grab your feet and steal your heart with that moaning bluesy hollow-body guitar. With a unique strong soulful sound,  GG has earned her reputation as a riveting performer with a distinct, expressive guitar style and an emotionally charged voice. Free, thanks San Anselmo taxpayers.

• FRI 10/15 • 6-9pm – Mitch Woods with Nancy Wright! ~ Creek Park, San Anselmo (most accessible from San Anselmo Avenue at the Gelato place.)  Dancing in the grass, jumping from the bridge, boogie in your woogie. 

• SAT 10/16 6-8pm – Eldon Brown Band ~ Jillie’s Wine Bar, Redhill Shop Center, San Anselmo.  This band swings like they invented it. Original blues oriented with some boogie woogie/swing. Great singing and sax by Eldon and a killer repertoire that keeps us enthralled and dancing. Parking lot dancing / Outside.  

• SAT 10/16 • 7-10pm – Audrey’s Big Boss Swing Band ~ Mac’sat beautifully upgraded 19 Broadway, Fairfax. Audrey Moira Shimkas, well known as a jazz singer, woke one morning wanting more. More of that swing excitement.  Knowing everyone in the biz, she called pro pianist Greg Sankovich, sax great Tony Malfatti, and drummer Gerry Kennett, and said “get over here”. Now they are ready. So is Mac’s. Ya’ll come.  All the inside comforts. 

• SUN 10/17 • 1-3pm – Dale Alstrom Jazz Society ~ at PYC Presidio Yacht Club (Travis Marina Bar), under the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge.  

• SUN10/17 • 4:30-6:30pm – The Stardusters Orchestra. The Marin-based 16-piece brass band plays swing and other dance music from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. grab your ballroom sneakers and head on down to the Mill Valley Downtown Plaza, at 87 Throckmorton Avenue, to enjoy an outdoor performance by The Stardusters.  Ballroom style Waltzes, Tango, Foxtrot, WC and a few EC Swings. Free.

• SUN 10/17 •  starts at 7:30pm  – Terry Hanck band ~ The Back Room ~ After 10 years with the great Elvin Bishop, he has led his own band now for 30 years, and his reputation among musicians and blues aficionados is solid gold.

• TUE 10/19 • 7:30-9:30pm  – The Stardusters Orchestra is now under the direction of Mike Wray … and he has somehow improved upon their musical reputation established under their late, great director, Joe Agro. The Mill Valley Community CenterCascade  Ballroom“ is still the largest dance floor in the North Bay with good lighting, lots of table seating, ample parking. The admission price remains at $15 per person which includes their orchestral arrangements specifically designed for dancers, alternative rhythms on CD during band break, and light refreshments courtesy of MVCC. This month Noah Griffin will be serenading us in the traditions of Sinatra, Martin and Bennett.
