Enjoy Lindy hop & swing dancing with Jasmine Worrell. Swing is a fun social partner dance set to swing jazz, blues, and rock and roll music. Having evolved from Lindy Hop in the 1930s and 40s, it’s based on six-count figures that are simplified forms of Lindy Hop patterns. In practice on the social dance floor, the six-count steps of the East Coast Swing can be mixed with the eight-count steps of Lindy Hop and Charleston, and is therefore a perfect place to start or continue growing your swing.
Group swing classes typically run as a multi-week series, and usually run for 6 weeks at a time. If you cannot make the entire series but still want to join a group class, please email or text Jasmine to inquire how to proceed/register. For private dance lessons, please email, text or call Jasmine.
Join us! No partner is ever needed to join the class and absolutely everyone is welcome to attend. No prior dance experience is needed for our beginning swing dance classes! It is a guaranteed great time!

Stella Heath plays live for Swing Night on Sunday, October 4 for swing dancers at Hall of the Above in Petaluma. Ample tickets at the door. $25 covers a beginner friendly swing dance lesson at 4:15pm with Jasmine Worrell, followed by live music with Stella from 5-7pm. Join us for our monthly swing night at HOTA this October. All ages. Kids under 12 are free. Everyone is welcome. Save the date — Dorian Mode will be the guest artist on November 1. Same time, same place. Join us every month.
Class Registration Policy
We’re so grateful you’ve chosen to dance with us! Because our classes and series are planned and reserved based on registration, all class purchases are final and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, credits, or refunds.
We completely understand that life happens and schedules can change, so we’re happy to offer some flexibility when you need it. If you miss a class, you can make it up at another Jasmine Worrell Dance location, as long as the class is at the same level and within the same series. You’re welcome to mix and match between our Larkspur, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Sonoma locations throughout your series.
For example, if you normally attend in Santa Rosa but can’t make it one week, you can attend the corresponding level at one of our other locations instead. This allows you to keep dancing even when your schedule changes, while also ensuring that you’re learning with a group at the appropriate level.
Please note that make-up classes are subject to the availability of an appropriate same-level class and are intended as a way to accommodate occasional scheduling conflicts rather than as a transfer of your registration to a different class or series. We appreciate your understanding and, most of all, your support of our small dance business. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to keep dancing!
